I have a tour pack mounted on my quick release rack and would like to mount it solid to eliminate the rattle and movement. The quick release mount is very sloppy. It moves about an inch or two when traveling over bumps. I never noticed it with only the rack and backrest. But I sure do with the large Harley style tour pack. I was wondering if Triump made the rack mount other than a quick release?

Check out Wompus racks on the web. They make a custom rack for Rockets and you just have to drill holes in the top to align you tour pack. I had one on my Vulcan with the same type tour pack as you and it was incredibly sturdy and comes painted in gloss black or primed.

When I had my R3T I had a top box mounted to the quick release sissy bar setup, I replaced the plastic bushings that it slides in with aluminum ones that a friend made for me. He made them with a tighter tolerance as well and it took care of the slop and rattles.
