No, but I've heard great things about them on other bikes. I wasn't aware they made a size for the rear Touring tire, I'd be all over them. I have Avon Cobras on now, about 6000 miles and getting near the end, but probably at least 1000-1500 left, much better than the Metz. Interestingly, the Avons seem to wear approximately evenly, the Metz were 2 rears to one front.

I have a General Altimax and it still looks just like it did the day I bought it but it has 5500 miles on it now.

Anyone ever looked into the Michelin Pilot Road 3?

Noticed you are from Michigan. My friends and I intend to unload at Grand Rapids taking in all of the Mitten around the coast with the UP, any suggestions on "must see" locations?

We plant to go through Frankenmuth, up to Alpena along the coast all the way to the Soo locks before turning west for the UP tour. If time permits we want to ride in out of the bays arond Charlevoix and Traverse City.

thanks,

I live near Traverse City, you might like M22 from Manistee up through Frankfort a nd up to Glenn Lake and Sleeping Bear sanddunes, one of the most beautiful places in the world. In the UP Copper Harbour is a nice trip. RocketScientist after the RAA last fall went through there.

I did Copper Harbour and many other locations in the UP this year on four trips up on my Ski Doo with some club members.
