Tire question (please don't shoot me)

Well , I just pulled the trigger on the Exedra. I sure wish I could get it for the prices you guys south of me pay. Oh well at least shipping was free . I also found a guy just a few minutes away to put it on for me.

I'll post my thoughts once it's on.

if you still want to brand match, I put a Bridgestone Battlax on the front to give it a go, nice tire, I'm happy with it, but the tread "sings" when doing 80-90 kms, besides that time will tell.

My front Metz is fairly new so I hope not to need anything yet and I'll keep it in mind when I do.

Where to you buy yours? I got mine HERE and , thankfully, found a guy that will mount it for me. Most shops around here won't mount a tire they didn't sell. They claim liability reasons but I suspect it's more likely $$ reasons

Yes, and once the front metz is done, go with Avon Cobra, or Dunlop Elite 3

or an azaro from avon

Ya, I went dealer for this first set, they were pretty negotiable, knocked $75 off the rear, but they had a wrong price on the front tire, so he honored the discount he was going to give, and ended up knocking off $120. I have a guy here in Ottawa, him and his wife opened a small mobile tire changing business, he just bought the balancer for the bike tires ( I have to remove it off the bike) but he will do the change and balancing on whatever tire I bring him, be able to save some$$$$.

I paid $225 to my door which, up here, is not bad at all. As I mentioned, I found a local guy to mount it for $90. Talk about good service. He did an awesome job, very tidy and even sent pic's as the work progressed. It was like leaving my kid at day care I took my tube of Moly60 for him to use but he said not to worry, he has some and always adds it to shaft drive wheels.

STAY AWAY from the Bridgestone Battlax, only 6000kms, down to the wear tread already,growing weird pimples on it now, the dealer said unless there is belt or chunks out of it , I am SOL pretty much. He did offer me front and back Avon Cobras for $445, but I'll go Excedra max back,Cobra fronts and get them installed through my source.
