Just had one of those "perfectly magical moments" of motorcycling where everything comes together and just flooooooows so perfectly. Love those times, so awesome, and so many of them on the R3R!

Short Story:
Coming off the main freeway here in Oahu, there is a very long, smooth, highly cambered sweeper that is "speed limit challenged", meaning its stupidly low, however bikers commonly play on it :p So being used to how fast I can take on the 'Tona, I have been slowly uping the speed on the R3R looking for maximum fun. First time around it was about 65, no dragging, but definitely not far.

Today coming home, I get on the exit, and see a new '14 Stingray in the inside lane, DOH! Perfectly timed he signals he wants in the left lane, so we switch and I never have to touch the brakes. Entered at around 65 and rolled on, hitting the apex and the right peg at the same time, managed to gut check it and not roll off at all and drug the peg all the way through the rest of the turn, exiting around 75. As I exit onto the short 6 lane section, 2 sportbikes come from the other merging sweeper at about the same speed but two bike lengths ahead. I am in 3rd, hear them down shift to take off, so snap the R3R open!

Score 1 for R3R, zero for mid 2000 R6 and mid 2000 GSXR 600 :p Let off somewhere well north of the ton mark and babied it home.

TL/DR: Magical events stringing together to make a perfect turn even better, god I love them :p

Wrecka, I drew you a picture :p

Also, just caught my new neighbor drooling on my bike not realizing I was watching from my desk. R3R, how I love thee lol

Be careful on them Roadsters .. the peg rails can 'dig in' even before the peg touches down on certain uneven surfaces .. Bruce Aussie can explain what takes place after that .. not f#ckin pretty.

Hahaha you know the first thing Hanso looked for on my bike the other day was to see if i'd been scrapping pegs or had chicken strips , KFC it was hey Hanso ?

Ya Tom, I check the rails here and there to make sure I'v not been inadvertently draggin them. So far so good :p Got me thinking about a rework of their geometry though to prevent it from ever happening.

as Sean aka @Wrecka said to me he is a gentle rider I didn't believe him ..... he doesn't look the gentle well behaved type but yes he wastes far to much of his tyre, hell .... I used more surface area of Les's new front while scrubbing it in for him, admittedly gently :)

Mate i love my bike and i love my Lady and i wont treat either one badly :)

I try, I really do try to behave. Then.. suddenly the devil on my shoulder body slams the angel, stuff him in a bag, and kicks him off the bike. Shortly after I am inevitably doing stupid things lol. Has nothing to do with who is around/watching, more of a "this will be fun" thought drowning out "lets not go to jail".

Really, I need a track near by to get out the antics as often as possible, it helped a ton in my turbo car, which I rarely ever used full power on the street with after finding a track I could run at weekly.

Also, I should say, I am actually pretty gentle as far as riders go. Don't clutch dump, don't clutch wheelie (on purpose), match revs on down shifts, don't bog the motor or bounce it off the limiter (at least not on the rocket :p).

As Ricky Bobby once said "I just wana go faast!"
