Thinking about exhaust options

Ok, I will. ha ha. Welding thin metal isn't that easy IMO. As @bcar00 said. Good thing is it can leak a little and NBD. its not a gas tank. I'd get some metal the thickness of the cat box and see how you do. Then there's the type of metal. not sure what the cat is made of
Good points. I think it's a low grade stainless. Welded well with both stainless rod (308 TIG) and normal carbon steel.

@Journeyman you are a gifted mechanic. If you are not a welder. Take it to a either a weld shop or a custom exhaust shop that does a lot of welding. They will have the know how of doing this kind of work. I'm planning to take mine to a custom exhaust shop so it can be plumbed and welded correctly.

Thank you, but I really don't deserve that description- but thanks. Good advice about the exhaust. I'll probably leave it as is, get a shop to mod it, or save my pennies for one of Paul's creations (first choice).

Does anyone else think that the baffle box sits too close to the rear tire? If a mod is the route I were to go (and not looking at it now to see if this is even possible), I'd like to shorten it up so there's more clearance between there.
