Howdy there fellas, as ive mentioned to a several of you once a year a few of my mates go for a leisurely wander around tassie.
It's and open ride so anyone is welcome. Top bunch of lads and is very social, you generally come home in pain with sore face and abs from all the laughing. Everyone has a ball and havent had anyone not come back the next year.
if you are interested in coming along, we jump on the boat from Port melbourne on Friday 23rd Nov 6:30pm, arrive in tas 6:30 am Sat, ride Sat, Sun and Mon back on boat Mon night arrive back on mainland Tuesday 6:30am.
I know its a bit far for some and time can be hard but if you would like to join me I'm the only Rocket rider so will be nice to have another one along. All bikes are welcome so there is a mixture of Cruisers, tourers and sports bikes.
Let me know if you can make it and I'll PM you further details and brief you on COC. Basically if you ridden in groups you'll know the drill if not its easy to follow.
It coincides with the Aussie custom bike show so if you want to attend we'll be visiting a few mates there before heading down to the boat.
We have a support vehicle that will carry luggage, spare fuel etc plus have the ability to fit 3 bikes in there in the event you want a rest.
Cost is whatever the boat ride is plus your accom. any extra is optional but we generally have a closed envelope donation that we put towards a cause. This year we are going to be raising funds to build orphanage accommodation in uganda. individuals generally donate 10c - $20,000 depending on what they can spare. as it's sealed envelope nobody knows and it don't matter.
The purpose is to enjoy our bikes, have a laugh, keep safe, meet some top people and explore some of Australia's best roads.
