Going where you’re looking instead of looking where you want to go it is as simple as that, the bikes were doing nothing wrong in fact as Richard pointed out they were way over in the lane which shows me they are experienced riders.
Biker came round the slight curve saw the bikes and went straight for them, remember the two things you never do
1-Fry bacon naked
2-Use the handlebars to steer at speeds over 10-12mph
I've seen this video before, and it amazes me there were only minor injuries. It is probably the best example of target fixation on the net. There is NO GOOD reason the motorcyclist should've hit those cyclists. That said, what kind of death wish must a bicyclist have to ride on this road? Ever watched more of RNM's videos? All kinds of IDIOTS crossing lines and crashing. I think there's even another video of a MC wiping out a BC at the same corner. I don't think I'd even want to take a MC on this road with a lot of the idiot car drivers I've seen video of, let alone a BC.
One of the more impressive RNM videos is a Harley rider drags too much peg, lowsides, and manages to jump off and run it out without ever falling down. Calmly walks over and picks up the bike.
Sorry for the confusion, yes I believe in counter steering I teach it to at least 50 students a month so I better believe in it.
Swerving is basically two consecutive turns or countersteers now if the guy in the video had applied it the crash would have never happened.
