Has anyone had the occassion to remove the tail light assembly?
Is the cut out in the fender the size of the lense? Was going to start the tombstone light install, but if the cut out is that big there would be no where to bold it down.
Thanks, I was afraid of that after getting under it and looking around.
Have you taken it off? After you take off the bolts under the fender so the two sections just come apart? Maybe I'll take it off to check the size, but, I think my plan has been screwed.

pg.175 of the metric catalog...tombstone tail light with turn signals.
It's about 6 1/2" tall 4" wide with two mounting bolts top left and bottom right.
Well, the tail light is a 40's-50's harley style. I always liked the tombstone and the object is to clean up the rear end, turn signals, license plate, etc. Still don't know if it will work....if it can be bolted on...not quite sure if the wiring will work out....
I've seen a couplel of rockets with the rear light/turn indicators/licence plate changed to that off a scrambler. Looks cool and shows a lot more rubber. Also there is no sign of where the original fitment was, so I guess its just covered by the new set up.
