I think the photo is genuine the reason being if the sun was over head at time the shadow would be about right, definitely one for the experts

I saw a guy named Kevin Carmichael do that for real at a stunt show for Triumph a couple a years ago.

Seems real to me. I first thought it might have been Donny.;)
Rear tyre looks a bit dodgy if anything. It's flat on the ground, which I'd expect, but running that soft you'd see it ballooning the sidewall as well, wouldn't you?

I'm just suspicious by nature :D there's some sneaky buggers out there. Kevin Carmichael is up there with the best of the worlds stunt riders .. great shot anyway.. whoever did it .

I'd say its one of them nutters doing a stunt show. Check out his mohawk helmet and he looks to be running about 5psi in the back tyre like them blokes do. Anyone who hasn't seen Kevin Carmichael on utube doing the add for the Roadster with the bloke from triumph doing the voice over should have a look and see what a standard R3R is capable of with the right bloke throwing it around. I'm not that fussed on doing wheelies like that but I must admit to trying a tyre frying power slide a few times. Hard to get right or atleast it is for me.

hey guys at Phillip Island stunt riders on other bikes not a Rocket have bought them up like that and with a light touch of the rear brake they put it back down, I'd say it was fair dinkim, even seen it done with a brand new V Rod! it was fresh out of the crate doing demo laps for a press release Stunt rider shows interest in it at the back of the Pits where is was and next thing you know he's out on the track ... after a couple failed attempts getting it up he tries again and up she goes scraping the tailght mudguard an anything hanging out the back.. should have seen the sparks, he then brings it back in and gives it back to stunned HD staff. I think somebody would have had their arse kicked when they got it back to the shop

Bruce you're right he does look like a stunt rider .. Exile t-shirt would indicate he's a yank , maybe  was actually hoping someone could identify who it was doing the stunt . Donny sent it to me and it came from one of his vintage drag racing mates from the States.

I did that on a dirt bike quite a few years ago, but a second or two later, you could have taken a photo of me rolling around on the ground holding my jewels. It wasn't pretty. :(:(
