I find it funny how much attention the R3 gets. I'm out 'n about all the time on my Roadster and sure field lots of questions.
Tonight was a good example. I noticed a car show going on and decided to stop and see what was what.
Didn't see any of the cars. Didn't even make it away from the bike. Before I know it, I have 8 people gathered around .. some just looking & pointing, others taking pictures of it and others asking all sorts of questions about her.
Being fellow owners, I'll not get into the questions, as you all get similar ones. :)
This continued the entire time I was there. Eventually the car show ended, but w/o me seeing any of them. Sure had a lot of folk going ga-ga over the bike though ...

..or ya get this....."I didn't know Triumph still made bikes....I had a Triumph back in the day.....a Bonneville."......lol...can't even tell ya how many times I get that..

They must have made right at 10 million Bonnevilles just in 1969, based on the number of people who have told me they had one. Either that, or there is ONE Bonnie that has has a LOT of owners.

Over the years of owning several different Triumphs (R3s, S3, D955, D675), and always seeming to have a few in the shop, I have discovered that most any Triumph gathers more than its fair share of attention. Some more than others. The only other thing that tends to get a lot of looks are Confederates, and I don't know if this is good or bad.

Confederates....that is one uggggggglllllllly bike with a price to match.

Ya thats about all I hear anybody say....oh and I didnt know they still made bikes....but than I get the story of how they remember triumph but they disappeared then came back and they make cars right??!!......Sometimes its at in convienient times like when Im on my way to work and I dont have time to bull**** when i need to go to work. The company i work for is very strict about being late. Not even the worst blizzard is a reason! Although if the state calls and emergency then they made slide if a bunch of people are late

kmutt,
do you work for Walmart?
Thats the way they are.
Don't know about the stores,
but the Distribution center is sure that way.
No excuse is good enough,
you're late, you get a writeup,
you miss, you get a writeup.
