I think I'm having problems with the sidestand sensor does anyone know if this can be removed?

I'm sure it can be jumper'd out but why not just fix it? Accidently starting in gear could really ruin your day. There's a digital copy of the maintenance manual linked from any of Bishop's posts (least that's how I found it).

Never remove safety lockouts. They are not there to stop the stupid from killing themselves. They are there to make sure nothing goes wrong. I have been positive I have kicked up that sidestand and it would not start because it was not completely up. I rode my bicycle away with its sidestand down once. Would not want that end result on a rocket.

Agree. You could seriously "eff" yourself and your bike up; if that side stand is still down when you're moving out.

My Vision does not have a side stand safety lockout; instead it has a rubber pad mounted on it's foot; it will "grab" the asphalt and kick itself back to the "stowed" position if ever left down, when moving out. I actually (bone head me) saw it work once as advertised; when I inadvertently forgot to raise the side stand back up before I moved out. It was a "oh chit" moment but the rubber pad worked as advertised.... thankfully.
