Get rid of the shocks, they're crap. Get a set of progressive or hagon.

Icappel, please do not waste 10 cents on fixing up the stock shocks. I believe I am one of the least skilled riders on here and even I could feel the dramatic difference when I put on new shocks. While I have the Progressives I cannot direct you to any thread where there is a factual comparison between brands. It does not seem to matter what brand you get, you will notice the improvement. It really is a safety issue. Especially as you get used to the bike and begin to pick up the pace. Enjoy.

+1 on not wasting time on the OEMs. They don't deserve any paint. I wish I had my old ones I would send you one just to make you happy. Keep a watchful eye I've seen one set of aftermarket shocks for sale here. Put an ad in Wanted Classified section for some Progressives or whatever your looking for, you never know. I have 440's and love them, A big difference. Gives you a improved handling bike. You may want to suggest in your ad that if someone has them on their Rocket and they are selling their bike (poor soul) that they should sell you the good shocks and put the ****ty OEM ones back on when they sell it! :idea:
