Work smarter, not harder. Had a buddy who raced pro, said the difference in the Corners was, pros would lean their legs on you, and vice versa, newer riders would balk when touched, keep your line,it’s yours, good luck, have a blast.

I'm now in deliberations about what to do for the track time next year. Lots of options, but, I really need to decide first and foremost, to either turn the Daytona into a track bike or get/build a different bike.

I'm leaning towards, buying a good frame and building my own bike from the ground up, but, I've not yet decided what my course will be. I would like to on something that'll allow me to get down to a 1:50 lap time.

Great job Rob. You ride really well. I have to agree a track day training is worth every penny. The new things you learn to do make you a much better street rider.

BTW: I saw 153 MPH on your speedometer. Nice.

What I learned most, to be honest, is I'm a conservative fast street rider. I need to adjust my mind to track and carry more speed through most of the track. It's definitely not easy to defeat years of wiring my brain to not roll into the throttle hard early on, but I totally could have been on throttle earlier and harder as well as entering faster. I think next time out I'm going to focus on three things, maintain good lines, improve body position, and shift less using torque of 3rd instead of hunting max power at the top of 2nd.

Roasted the front pretty good too lol:
