Salavaged Titles....

Anyone here have any experience with salvaged Titles on Motorcyclyes? My main concern is insurability. I have nation wide and so far they have been kind of on my side, more like to the rear of me.
I’m buying mine back because I can’t see the cost of me fixing it be as much as the shop said. Considering if the item was scratched the wrote it up t just replace it.

I can handle the repairs my self. The tell me there is no damage to frame or forks. I hope not as most of the Speed was scrubbed of when on it and my left side...

Check with the PA Insurance Commission on what the laws are about insuring Salvaged Titled Vehicles in PA. It can be very different from state to state.

As said check with your state guy, now in Florida they make it very hard to get a salvage title.

It's been a while since I had a salvaged titled vehicle, but could not get collision or comprehensive coverage

I've never been asked by a potential insurer if my bikes or autos were salvage titled. And even if I wanted collision and comprehensive all they wanted to know was if I had a lien on it and who was the holder of the lien. I am betting if you buy a policy online...it will not ask about the character of the title beyond whether there is a lien.

They do, so you might sneak it by online but it could come back to bite you in the as s if you have a claim.
