I am not entirely sure it's THAT BIG AN ISSUE. And I am probably THE lighting overkill geek.
The few times I have been able to ride anywhere on FULL BEAM the adaptive part would have been of no benefit at all.
Now if they get to TRUE ADAPTIVE where the beam automatically dips based on speed and tilt as well as oncoming or conjunctive traffic as Mercedes are developing - Then I might switch.
Take into account that Full Adaptive on Main will draw more amps. I moved to LEDs to decrease current draw.
APAPT 2 and certain Clearwaters and the system voltage may well drop above about 80mph.
