Running bad, cutting out.

My bike just started having a problem. The check engine light is on and it cuts out when giving it much gas. It idles fine, but won't take gas when you throttle. Reminds me of a fouled plug, but that's not it, I just tried a new set of plugs.

Where did you get gas last, normal spot, bad fuel maybe? Bike set for a while? Bike set outside or in? Ride in a hard rain lately? (whats rain?) Air filter clean? If all that is good, Bad TPS? (sorry IDK just caught your post)

It was ridden in the rain before it was parked last time. I will check out the air filter...

Just because I'd throw some Sea Foam at the fuel and see if it straightens out.

I had aprob similar a few years ago it was the computer had to be replaced if i remember its here somewhere Lol

It might be the TPS but the first thing I would check is the the leads running to each coil they loosen up and then you get sparatic contact. A little squeeze with needle nose piers and they grip tight again. In fact whether it is the problem or not you should check yours anyway.

For sure! I was getting misfire at 6k revs, coil input leads were slack as a whores knickers!
