2023 Rocket 3R
I got a good deal on the last 2023 R for many many miles today. I did not test ride it but just bought it because I've been wanting one for a long time. The bike just feels so right, is surprisingly nimble for it's size and weight, and even while "taking it easy" under 4000rpm for now it sure gets up and goes. I'm 6'2 and after I install my VOIGT MOTO TECHNIK 1" risers I think it will be where it needs to be.
When I go in for my 600mi service the dealer will add my TSA, heated grips, aux power, sport wind screen and tank pads which they did not have in stock.
The 58 or so mile ride home through city, farmland and twisties was lots of fun, of course tomorrow the rain starts again and I'm not into breaking out the rain gear anymore unless I'm on a roadtrip.

congrats on a cool bike. I rode the 1st gen bike 16 years ago and said I’d get one someday…

I purchased my rocket like you blind! so no test ride, never seen one before other than pics, did not read or watch release either. i’ve owned a few triumphs before so knew its a quality brand. my last 3 bikes have been all blind buys.

phoned the dealer, ordered and had the bike delivered to my house with 0km on the clock. what a surprise that was. I originally wanted all black like you but got a very good price on carnival red and is delighted with the choice.

enjoy your ride, they are truly “special” bikes.

Any reason why my new R would tell me that service is due in 434mi which would make it 500 and not 600 miles? Dealer shenanigans?
It showed 8 miles at the dealer which was what he said on the phone originally.

they replace engine and drive shaft oil after 1k km, think my invoice (yes its not covered) was around $200
dealership sets the reminder, you seem short on miles, just take it in at 600miles…

you can change this and perform other maintenance task such as abs bleed, remove speed limiter etc using tune ecu…

Unless they let people test ride it which they say they didn't and reset the odometer? Or am I just being weird?

I'm not aware of odo reset, if it's possible you would be able to do it with tune-ecu, so I'm highly sceptical, that said will ask my local dealer tech. he's up front and honest.
