Has anyone had to replace a split/damaged bottom hose? I was wondering if it's possible to do without removing the complete radiator?

I took my radiator off last year to repair a hairline crack with Rad Weld so no real problem, but if it's been done without all that palaver I'd be a happy bunny..

Are you talking about the small (about 2") hose segment that comes off the water pump? Had that crack in 2008... I don't think they took off the radiator to repair it...

Mike...

Yep, that would be the one. I guess it's just a bit of patience and a few bruised knuckles to fit a replacement... :)

after draining the radiator jack the front end up a little say Jack stands on the peg rails. lossen top of the hose and the two left on the waterpump.
pull pump and hose out and off put new hose on pump end and fit it to the pipe as you go back in with the pump. if you take the cover off the pump it will be easir to rotate the impeller to line up the pump drive shaft.
Sounds a lot harder then it is.
