Labor Day will likely restrict available rooms. Hunting seasons are another consideration, some areas in Colo. & Wyoming turn into a circus over it, generally that’s the last half of Sept. and coincides with the rut and cooler weather.
Sept. 12-19 might be be a good choice based on those factors as long as we don’t schedule ourselves into a hunting area on opening week...or maybe that would be a good thing, can I carry a rifle on a bike?

I think that is what Dave is saying about diversity. Some how the groups of like minded come together so that you get the experience you want.

NM would be closer and easier for us. Mad Dog has proposed using my truck and 20 foot trailer as a chase rig in which all extra gear can follow and in case of a mechanical issue the trailer would be there every day to use as necessary. Possibly something to think about.

I hope we can do this before all that cold moves in. Last year we had very cold rain and snow in Wyoming during the second week of September.

Edit. I just looked at Bloomfield NM and I recall I’ve been through there a few times. Looks like a perfect place to set the rig and take off. Usually we start from Albuquerque on the four corners ride but Bloomfield looks even better.

OK I will come clean I was trying to be sarcastic,all the rides I have been on or with opinions were asked digested and decisions made (no insult derogatory remarks meant) but read the first page on the other one you are being told where,when,it is and where you are staying)I"m sure they do have different group rides according to the skill or speed you want or have just like here there and every place else.As for @1olbull comment on rides the orange construction barrel/signs re N.M. state emblem dont know or comment on that side they are beautiful rides yes but some road surface may be not up to being the best.My offer to rest up for a night or whatever /park youre truck,trailer or just swing by anytime and say hi always stands.The weather then should be no problem at all(knock on wood)labor day in early Sept. they have a 4 corners rally in Durango/Ignacio (45 miles from me)so weather should not be a problem till mid Oct.
