I like to plan rts by searching sites like this link..
They usually have them ordered by extreme twisties/sweepers/scenic other....
I put in as many extreme twisties as possible, then connect them using sweeper roads or other(if needed) to make loops where possible (though out & back can be warranted at times).
Of course, all options are open once you are in motion. I like having a plan & twisties are my goal. ;-)
Ogre,
Fixin' on doing this one and the Mesa on the first day ride.
Planning these day rides at 300 miles or less is tough. The mountains do not allow for short cuts. Your original idea of a traveling circus would have worked much better. I have ridden CO a couple times and have searched out the same and other web sites. I also recently ordered a CO Butler Map from Pashnit.
Would definitely welcome your input, Amigo. Bring on some suggestions!
