RAA 9 June 2014 Colorado head count

Ogre,
Fixin' on doing this one and the Mesa on the first day ride.
Planning these day rides at 300 miles or less is tough. The mountains do not allow for short cuts. Your original idea of a traveling circus would have worked much better. I have ridden CO a couple times and have searched out the same and other web sites. I also recently ordered a CO Butler Map from Pashnit.
Would definitely welcome your input, Amigo. Bring on some suggestions!

Understood, on all counts...

I like to get the "loop rts" figured out in advance for a group meet such as this;
1. some people (like me) like to get them in their GPS in advance.
2. depending on the terrain, people can plan to hit other areas on their way TO or FRO and that way get to see even more of the countryside. (although sometimes duplicating rts is unavoidable & if'n it's a real good road, doing it multiple times ain't a bad thing.)

As regarding the "traveling circus"...I think it's possible to do some of this TO or FRO Montrose, depending on peoples' time available....

The traveling part would be easier with smaller groups anyway...

But I'll get busy & post up some possibilities for a starting point...we still have a lot of time to refine things.

Those look pretty good to me. I never have been able to master MapSource or Base Camp either, guess I need to spend more time with them!

The biggest complain from the girls, wr ride all day and never stop for pictures,,,
