On my 2nd winter with the pc625 installed. Yes, you'll need to find
another location for the toolbox but it's not much of a toolkit anyway.
The base is a real tight fit in the battery box. On my brother's Rocket, I
had to bend the back side slightly to get the battery to slip down in all the
way. I didn't have to do it on mine. Just depends on your particular bike.

One note, however, about the terminals. I messed up and left my driving
lights on and ran the battery all the way down to where it didn't have
enough to start. The terminals are recessed into depressions on the
corners to where they are flush with the top of the case. This makes it
very difficult to get newer style jumper cables to clip onto the terminal.
You will need access to old style, exposed clamp jumper cables or carry a
couple of small vise-grips to clamp to the terminals to allow the newer
jumper cables to clamp to the vise-grips.

There are a number of threads on batteries to include the PC625.

On the Odyssey, in my opinion it is probably the best battery on the market. I installed one in my BMW 1150GS and it was significantly superior to the stock battery. A Google search on the Odessey will yield performance assessments, most being very positive. Most of the comments on this forum are also very positive.

There are some fitment issues with the 625 which must be considered. It requires some battery box modifications which are apparently not significant. I still have a new 625 on my work bench awaiting installation but have a Corbin seat and understand that the mounting bracket may preclude its use.

In any event, I don't believe you'll be disappointed with the Odyssey.

This link pretty much explains it.

Mine still working great.

I believe there may be some manufacturing tolerance in the battery box. Some have had to modify the bottom to get the 625 to seat completely. On my R3T, a little pressure on the top of the battery was all that was needed to get it to drop in. Removal took a pretty good tug, but was not difficult.

As to the Corbin seat. On my R3T the Corbin required a mounting bracket that mounts across the frame rails, directly above the battery terminals. The PC 625 is taller than the Yuasa and the bracket would not clear the battery. Perhaps someone smarter than I can figure out a way to make it work, but I sold my Odyssey and charger. Living in Arizona, I rarely have to deal with the cold starting issues.

kind of a dumb question... but I keep hearing about a charger for these.... can I just use my old battery tender or do I need something new?

Search is your friend...

I am going to be selling a new Odyssey PC625. I bought it last year. It is new in the box and sitting on my work bench. I just haven't gotten around to advertising it.

You haven't got a proper charger for sale have you?
My 625 will struggles to start mine as optimate does not maintain battery
enough.
