Here is the one I made. The pics of it in the engine is the one the Polish fellow who invented it made. I made a little brace out of regular steel to strengthen mine as it wanted to bow in the middle a bit. The fingers have to be made out of something thin so they can bend a little. It requires a bit of finesse to make it work, but saves removing the cams. If you had more than two or three shims that needed to be changed, it would probably be quicker to remove the cams.
I had the same plate in WA on my Ninja. The mount frame read, "Catch me if you can!"
I chose not to put it on my R3R. The R3R is not quite the canyon carver and/or perhaps a sign of old age & diminishing skill set.
I just got the tag about two weeks ago my thought process when getting this rocket was to have a nine second bagger. After having this bike now for two years I kind of change my mind but still want it to be very respectable. I guess I’ll be going with a complete carpenter exhaust system with Computer flashed they said on the phone it should get me close to 170 wheel horsepower that should make me happy for a while .
I made the 2 tab spring compressor tool first out of aluminum to "mock" it up and get it right. Then I made the tool I used out of stainless steel. I also needed to ad a washer across the top for extra strength.
