Ouch!!!

I'm wondering if the R3 isn't too much for me! I purchased my (new to me) '05 R3 standard in mid August, rode it to a rally with my club (the Enchanted Voyagers-a Kawasaki group, had a blast putting about 800 miles on the beast, came home, decided to ride her to work the next Tuesday, and ran her into the back end of a Ford pickup (the driver was not injured, I went to the hospital to get my lower lip sewn up.)
Repair tab is about $5500.00 for parts plus labor. She's a Very expensive mistress!
I got my lip cut when I flew off the seat and ran my face into the back of my windscreen (must have looked funny!!) Anyway, it looks like I'm going to be out of action for a bit, but I can assure you, I'll be back!!

Glad you are okay, I guess it's better than the collision happening the other way around...with you being on the receiving end.

Glad you survived it Hank with relatively little damage.
The bike ain't to much for you, accidents happen.
I almost hit a BIG black cow the other morning
on the way to work.
It was dark, the cow was standing there beside the road,
and I didn't see it till I was right beside it.
Admittly, I was only doing about 65,
but it was still a rush and could have hurt.
Accidents happen. Get it fixed and remount soldier..

Sorry to hear about the accident. Glad to hear that your injuries were minor. After a collision or pretty much any type of "get-off" you may tend to question yourself. It's normal. Get back on and you'll soon see that all the reasons you first got the bike are true. Freedom, skill, participation with what's going on around you as opposed to being cocooned. It'll all come back. I don't think the type of bike has much to do with it. Keep the faith, Brother! You'll get there and enjoy the ride!

She's not to much for anyone lest yo foots dunt sit flat footed. Many days ago, decades in fact, when I got bucked off the ranch wrangler told me to just get back on. Been doing ever since and have never back peddled.

I wrecked my R3 last year and I agree get back on it. I rode my wifes bike within a week after my accident and as soon as my bike was out of the shop I rode it home and been riding ever since.
