I have one light, left, out along with the little marker light. Both beams. Right is fine, bulb is fine. Ideas?

It's like it is unplugged.. 770 miles on her. Total....

Thanks.

John

Gotta head north tomorrow but if I can't figure it out, I'll call them for sure. I can ride on one light to get home. No night riding.

stock headlights are not very good anyways let alone one out just watch out for the deer and elk (I know not very funny am I?) some smarter than I might help out for an instant fix though

My guess is there is a loose plug under your tank.
Turn key on and move handle bars full lock left and right watching for the light to see if it comes on.

Lift and prop tank - turn key on and jiggle some wires and plugs while watching the light that's not working

My bet is a wire or 2 e.g. earth (since both bulbs are out) in the mini harness of the headlight unit is broken due to cold working action of the steering. It happened on my '10 twice.

If you prop up the tank and remove the right side infill headstock cover the 2 headlight cables run under it. Have a look for breaks but bear in mind the bone can be broke but the skin intact..
The plugs are there too where they connect to the main loom to check connection too, might also be just that as you say.

Solder and tape job or €20 for a new one iirc but with 770 miles you should go straight to dealer and plead mileage warranty :)
