Oil Temp Gauge

Has anyone installed a Oil Temperature gauge in their bike. I live in the South West and travel through areas that can reach over a hundred. In conditions like that I like to monitor my oil.
In the past I have used the type that replaces the dip stick. Not sure which one to get for this bike . Any input will be a appreciated

NewR3.com has an analog temp dip stick. It's the one I use and it works fine. the electronic one looks like a pain in the butt since you have to push a button to get a reading, and it uses batteries.

its analog, and i bought it second hand but have seen them on ebay.
