Odometer zeroed after replacing the battery. Has this ever happened? I bought an '06 2 months ago, got cold in TX (32') bike would not start unless I jumped it. Had about 7K miles on it. Bought the Odessy battery. After repositioning the battery cables got the battery hooked up and noticed no miles on the Odometer but the trip switches were still correct.

Faulty gauge or you fried it somehow.

Same thing happened to me on an '05. Twice.

Not supposed to happen. Put a few miles on it and disconnect the battery again and see if it clears again.

Lucky you. The value of your bike just went up $1000.

Check it carefully, you have two trip odometers and I also thought this happened to me once, but on further inspection, the odometer was fine.

The two trip meters did not reset, the odometer did. It is registering milage, 20 miles on an '06.......
As for frying it, there does not seem to be any problems with the unit working.

Right, but if you pull the battery again, does it go back to zero?
