Noticed engine light on help with diagnostic

Haven’t opened the manual yet, so if a decision tree is in there forgive me, wanted group input anyway.

Last ride no issues, set a week, started it and saw orange engine light and shut off.

So, my thoughts

Check engine oil and radiator fluid levels.

Assuming there is an error code, is there a way too count code flashing like with db1 or db11?

Is there a Triumph specific code reader?
 
Get TuneECU and the cable and it will tell you all you need to know, and will probably help you to fix it too.

in the meantime also just about any code reader will work to get the codes
in the manual they have some codes listed and how to check.
where we live they have little varmints that like to chew the wires and that sets codes.
 
to answer your question i think that u can only do that on the earlier cry vehicles
