Newbie From The Sunshine State (Florida)

Welcome Daryl to the world of the Rocket. I enjoyed meeting you yesterday and once we got the mirrors straightened out I was glad to see you go riding off into the sunset to enjoy that ride.

As for the gas tank capacity, I'm not convinced that it is a 4.9 gallon gas tank as the "website" says. I believe it is a 5.9 gallon tank and I'll ask Dink Tuesday how much gas he puts into the demo blue R3T since he was the last one to fill it. Since the light comes on approximately around the same mileage (about 140 or so) as the regular Rockets I'll go with that until Dink sets me right on it.

As for Baggage1 (Bob) living in Crestview...maybe that's why I haven't seen him around town much.

Also as a side note our other Rocket Classic got sold and is being picked up as well on Tuesday so that leaves only the blue demo R3T left. Our supply of Triumphs and Ducati's is starting to get on the slim side as it is getting increasingly harder to trade with other dealers as their stock is dwindling down as well.

As for the "gentleman" designation, could you keep that kind of quiet, I've got a reputation to uphold around here.

Again, Daryl, welcome aboard,
Dennis

Welcome to the site, I am just down the road from you in FWB. A few of us Rocket riders from the local area are heading to Eureka Springs AR in Sep you are more than welcome to come along(you have to let me ride your bike for a bit)
Are you the guy who has been talking to Joe in Crestview about the Rocket he has for sale?

I haven't talked to Joe. I was keeping my eye on a Classic on Ebay until I demo'd the Touring model. The classic I was looking at on Ebay (still there, btw) had a Corbin full faring and Corbin hard bags (both color matched to the bike).

I'd be up for going to Eureka Springs depending on the date. My parents live in Arkansas.

Dennis - Please do ask Dink. I'd be very interested to know for sure. Thanks!

I should add, however, that I don't really care. I stop every 100 miles or so to give my ugly side a break.

Welcome aboard. My name just happens to be the same as yours and interestingly, It's spelled the same way too.

I never use it though. I prefer Flip

Now it's gonna be......Daryl and my other brudda Daryl........
Flip you are not allowed to make first contact until the person has twenty posts under his or hers belt. We do not want the scary man chasing away the newbies.

Dennis the reflective side points towards the rider.

Welcome - great to see another Florida R3T owner - I love mine (just added the long haul seat with backrest and the pegs - I highly recommend both) -

If you are close to Plant City I will be at the Bikefest (first Saturday of every month) this weekend -

Welcome, glad to see more R3T's on the road. I have to agree with the 5.89 gallon tank size. I regularly am able to put in 4.5 gallons with around 35-40 miles showing to empty. Given that the mileage runs between 35-40 and I'm not patient enough to try to squeeze every last drop in, the 5.89 figure seems right.

For all of you Fl. boys I happen to be right in the heart of P'cola in N. Hill area just off of Cervantes.
