Reference the wheels, I am just about to order a Big Blue Bike Lift

Harley Davidson Lift Triumph Rocket 3 1800 Gold Wing Big Blue Cruiser Lift

Once I get the lift I will be able to remove the wheels to have a good look at them.
I think I will first try to strip the lacquer off with Nitromors, then give them a going over with fine wet and dry.
Finally I will polish them and protect them with wax.
I will post some before and after picture if it works

If I got the wheels powder coated, I am assuming I would have to remove all the bearings etc???
How easy a job is it on the Rocket
