New to the Rocket family

In NZ we only use RON as a measure, nothing else & no Ethanol gas either, no E10 or E85, nothing. So it's easy for me, book says 95 so that's what I use. Other countries have different standards & fuels, so guess ya just use that which suits your profile best.

That's a great bike. I was thinking to do the same upgrades but then saw a deal for a used Rocket...
As you say the Rocket is a bit more of everything. But it is very smooth. With the Bobber, I was careful revving it if there were dogs or kids around, b/c it had a very angrysnarl,
Actually the suspension on the Rocket is what I appreciate first and then the power/torque. I am getting more comfortable with it's wider profile with things like going around the barrier arm gate at work. Eventually to lanefilter (legal in CA) I also plan to add side panniers for some light touring. It's silly but I feel the bobber looks less nice w/ the lockable panniers but I don't mind the Rocket w/ luggage.

Relatively low compression engines don't need premium gas.

Thanks; I am running a tank of premium now and don't see any difference for better or worse. Of course who knows if they had filled it with premium. Perhaps next time I'll try midgrade.
Thats what I use.
