I used my Christmas money and bought some new riding gear. I bought the "Adventure" jacket and pants. Man, what a great purchase. It's light years lighter and it's warmer. I went out when it was around 40 with just my jeans and a t-shirt with my new gear and was quite toasty. I'm a happy camper. I got a good deal on it too. MSRP of $430. I got both for $275. I highly recommend it. The gear comes in 3 levels: Action, Adventure and Explorer. I checked out the explorer gear, but that was a bit too much. You could ride in Alaska in that garb. The Adventure setup is MORE than plenty for around Florida. :)

Braggart ! lol ;)

OH ... Are you sure it will go with the T-shirt MoMan is bringing back for ya?

Actually the t-shirt was for Dave (Scot in Exile) but I'll look thru my stuff when I get back...I may have another shirt somewhere still in the wrapper (may be an XL though). Daryl might be able to use it for his "rapper" look.

Speaking of new gear... I've never ridden in more than decent leather jackets/jeans, but recently added some chaps. Now I'm interested in more weather friendly attire, as 2011 is gonna be the year of the road trip. I just ordered new progressives for the bike, and now it's time to outfit myself.

Personal favorites anyone? for both entire riding ensembles of what have you, including lids. It might be time to retire my 25 year old Marushin half helmet...

You really need to ditch a helmet that old. Fatigue of the components being the biggest issue that would affect your noggin should you need the protection. If you want a retro helmet try lowbrowcustoms.com

The lifespan of a helmet is 5 years according to the experts. I don't about that, but 25 is definitely too long to keep a helmet. Get a new one, STAT! I like my Icon Airframe really well. I think it's a really good helmet for the money (I paid around $220, I think).

Anyone have suggestions on a blue tooth modular helmet?

Any new helmet for me needs to be fitted with speakers, whether I do it or I get it that way...
For sale: one 25 year old Marushin half helmet, with visor and zip in ear flaps. Only crashed once. Black with scratches, not too many dents.

Daryl, Is that triumph gear??

I've NEVER ridden with raingear, (sometimes wishing I had) and would love some suggestions there!
