Couldn't get mine to fit in the side panel along with the alarm - not enough room. Too much trouble to try & relocate the alarm, which is why I went for the option of fitting it behind the rad., lots of space there.

Owl, I've looked at the pics but cannot tell to what you affixed it. However, I just went out and looked at mine. I have the Rivco engine guards. They have an inner brace which will be perfect for mounting the horn.

Stebel also sells one in chrome for you guys that want to mount it outside and add some bling. I believe it's $10 more.

BTW....any of you that have already wired it......the instructions talk about some Triumphs being wired backwards where you have a "positive ground". Not sure what that means.

That has to be the old Triumphs. They had a positive ground, whatever the hell that meant. You know, Lucas, Prince of Darkness.

Anyone had any experience of fitting the 125db stock replacement horn from newr3.com? (http://www.newr3.com/html/upgraded_horn.html):

I've got one and havent yet checked to see how easy (or not) it will be to fit. It was sold on the site as a direct replacement to the current stock fitted horn.

Don't hurt your self old boy....

In the pic where the stebel nautilus horn is mounted just below the carbon fiber bearclaw, isn't the horn facing the wrong way? Shouldn't the "Horn Openings" be facing to the front of the bike?? I wouldn't want that 139 db thing facing towards me.

Once mine is installed, I'm going to try it out on an un-suspecting bicyclist.......with me coasting up from behind with the motor off! Whatever reaction I get from him will be a good clue what is going to happen with that SUV driving soccer mom, yacking away on her cell phone, having no clue that she shares the road with motorbikes.

I left that plastic chrome piece off that was in front of the old horn. It looks better to me. Triumph went a little too far with some of the gingerbread.

Ideally I would have mounted it facing the other way, but the bracketry was all wrong, and I didn't have the skill to alter it.

Still, it doesn't seem to matter - the sound projects nicely, and people hear it - believe me.

It fits nicely Owl. I had that horn for a month and finally asked for help on the forum! The side panel was perfect for me since I don't have the 'alarm'.
