I have had a number of bikes( various breeds) who have had smoked Power Commanders when the owner has a flat battery. They remove the battery and charge it and reinstall LEAVING OFF THE PC earth wire accidentally. Start the bike and poof, the PC is toast. I have not had this direct experience with the R3 but several other bikes and see no reason to risk testing it on a Rocket. I would strongly suggest you do not remove the earth wire on your PC and run the bike. If you wish to disconnect it do it properly. The ign module should be a good thing. In order to tune the bike using that one must bear in mind good data is essential. If there is no data how do you know what the bike needs? To be able to tune ign and fuelling via dynojet products will in theory, allow many more folk to get better tunes without a tuner having to use the Tuneboy or similar softwares which are harder to use. As to auto tuning ignition? Thats a new one on me. S&S did try that in a way on their " intelligent ignition" they sold for big twins a while back. That was so successful everyone knows about it.
