While replacing the broken Detent spring I fitted a Barnet HD clutch. I have to say that it has made a noticeable difference to both engine noise & acceleration. Before the mod there was a rattling noise that had developed over the last year or two, this has now disappeared. Today I also noticed an improvement in acceleration & all in all the bike is smoother to ride. I can only assume that the old clutch had worn over its 35000 miles & was slipping under power, if anyone has other ideas please let me know.
