Hi all!

Picked my 2010 R3R up from the docks yesterday. Had to jump start it due to a discharged battery. While doing so found a couple of wires that looked like they should have been connected to the battery.

Today had a chance to work out where they go to, got the bearclaw and left hand headstock cover off. Found they go to a connector bundled up behind the headstock cover.

Any ideas as to what it may be for? (may it have some link to why the fuel gauge appears not to work?)

No no! - it's so ones beard can be trimmed back in case of accident and is tangled in the helmet strap. But you will get a good 10feet per hour more speed out the the R3 if you use it pro-actively.
Also as one advances in ages - it hides the grey hairs.

Ah yes - being serious (one has to occasionally) : Plug thing - Have you looked to see if there is an appropriate socket anywhere within reach of said plug? If gauge suspected - for example - in tank.
