Seems I cannot PM you, so . . .
Were I to consider a 4 week wing-it adventure con esposa, driving a rent-a-car around the east half of Spain, Madrid, Barcelona, coast route to Gibralter, back to Madrid, what month would you recommend considering weather, traffic and vacation congestion?
Late May/Early June or September/Early October.
AVOID Late June to end August - Absolute peak season. Mid July to Mid August can be SPECTACULARLY hot.

Mid July to Mid August - packed with blinkin' British tourists too...lol Portsmouth to Bilbao and a couple of hours down the road - Easy!

Fitted those headlights yet?
Less time on here, sir: more time in garage!.
Dig out the light meter. Soon there wont be any dark to measure against.
:coffee:

Darn, Gray beard! I DO NOT live that stinking far north! :p
I'll do a run or two through the same section I ran with the Daymakers using the same Go-Pro and mount.
Doing a full-on light meter test involves going to our (my associate & I) "secret grid" in a Seattle Park, which we have mapped out with a transit.
Takes at least an hour or so. With our two busy schedules (he is a working Seattle Detective) it is difficult to schedule.
Besides, I believe the light output is at least as good and likely better than the meter testing I have done with the Daymaker.
Have you seen my Daymaker test sheet? Twas identifiable light (3.2 lux) out to about 300 feet (the paved level grid is only 250 feet long).
I feel the simple video will tell most of what we want to know regarding the adaptive features.

What I was hoping you'd be able to measure is the NON adaptive bits - ime they're a substantial improvement over the earlier Speakers.

As previously stated, the peripheral lux identification study is involved, time consuming and presents logistical issues.
