The only badge it had on it was a V8 one on the bonnet. I thought it had a Studebaker look about it. Was a very nice looking car and different, I could see Julie driving to work in that. I think the Matt purple ute was a late 40's early 50's Chev with a chop job.
 

Bruce Its a 1951 Studebaker champion convertible rare as rocking horse dung, they only had the bullet nose till 1952 in Australia anyway , they came out with a little flat head six the V8 would be a repower job,looks a nice day to check out the cars.
 


The old Ford is a "Ranchero."

As far as the old "patina" paint; some shops in the states will clean, then clear coat right over the old finish.

That seals it from further oxidation, but keeps the original old weathered/whatever's left finish.
 

I remember them here back when I was young boy.

They looked about the same coming or going (front and rear were very similar).
