So - the Spanish R&D dept set arrived yesterday and were given a road test today.
Comfy whilst riding and also comfy walking about, which I did not (from cycling shorts experience) expect. Did a trip which normally would not be painful or uncomfy but has a rotten road surface so you know you've been sat an hour. Today nothing. Wore them under Vanson Sports-rider leather pants.
Ones "crown jewels" felt well protected - the only niggle is that if you need a panic stop for a pee - there's no opening fly. One of the last male privileges - free-form vegetation watering - lost. Then again wandering sheep and marsupials will be relieved.
If the weather keeps up this good - they'll get a "time for a break" length run.
Riding shirt - comfy and cool. On the whole I'd still prefer a knitted silk shirt though.
