Thanks for all the welcomes folks.
Seems like black with red stripes is the winner atm.
I sold the T-Bird because my back really hurt when going on long rides, both the lower back and the shoulders and even with the long-haul seats.
The rocket seems to have a much more straight up position.
Any tips on improved saddles for the Rocket?
Welcome Luna, I'm not familiar with the riding position of the T-Bird, but your arms will stretch after a few rides on your new Rocket. If you get a 2014 R3T, the seat is one of the best I have ever ridden from an OEM. I ahve 3000 miles on mine so far, and even though I haven't ridden in the heat yet, I think the seat is great.
I have Triumph's Long Haul saddle on my R3T, because it has provisions for one of the best adjustable backrests I've ever used. Plus, I found a deal on E-bay where I got the saddle and backrest in new condition for less than the saddle would cost alone - couldn't pass it up.
It will be a Roadster so I wonder if the Touring seat fits the roadster as well?
And if it does, would it change the seat height of the bike? Standard the seating position of the Roadster is 5cm higher than the Touring and I'm rather tall ... (1m92 or nearly 6ft3)
I do not know for sure about the height difference but I would not think it would be lower if you went with a touring saddle. Ask a Tirumph parts guy to be sure though. Just sitting on both bike back to back, you can tell a big difference inthem. I just did that two weeks ago at a bike show and like the touring better.
I am not actually a f#ckin cat ... ok !!!!! ... I am not at all loveable and you sound a little bit strange. Maybe I don't know what Belgium people are like, anyway we'll see how you go
Welcome from Freezing ass cold Canada! Tell us more about cat worshipping. We have a Siamese who likes to wake us up at 3-4am every morning whining about nothing. How do we get her to stop?
