Lost fob key on high speed

The smart key fell out of the vest pocket at a speed of 150 km/h. A key loss warning light appeared on the dashboard. I’m trying to understand how frequently the motorcycle checks for the presence of the key, in order to estimate the section of road where the key might have fallen (I have dashcam footage showing the exact moment the warning light turned on).

The only option offered by the dealer in our country is to replace the entire key system, which must be ordered and takes about two months to arrive, at a cost of €2700.

We really hope to find the lost key — it’s already the third day we’ve been scanning the roadside with a metal detector, and we’re running out of ideas.





I bought the Rocket 3 from a Korean auction, and it came with only one smart key. Here in our country, I was able to order a new key from the dealer, but it cost €700 — and it hasn’t arrived yet.

I bought one, it is my understanding that once it starts it keep running and does not check the proximity of the key like a car. if you get a replacement ($250 ish) get a Tile key fob, you don NOT have to replace the entire key system! just wish i could send you my dealers number. get two remote keys now., good luck Alfred.
