Hello. I am a new R3T owner and I am wondering if there are any differences or any thoughts out here about the Rivco light bar for the R3T vs the Triumph bar?

I haven't seen the Rivco product yet and it is not listed on their site.

Now if you are talking about the little 55 watt lights that they have listed, be aware that they are the EXACT same thing as a set of driving lights found at Walmart for around $18. This is confirmed.

I don't have any experience with the light bar, but I had Rivco risers on my R3T. The chrome was excellent and they did what they were advertised to do in terms of positioning the bars, but I did NOT like the fit. The bars had a good 1/2" of movement with those risers installed; meaning if you pushed on the bars, they would move forward. This was due to how they're installed using the existing rubber mounts from the original risers. Rivco should've designed a different bushing or something so the movement thing couldn't happen. Also, the bar clamps would come loose, and I ensured I installed them per the directions and to the proper torque. Only when I finally said enough was enough and applied medium loc-tite to the threads did they stay snug.

I'm not saying I wouldn't buy other products from them; it would depend on the product. But, I think I would stick with Triumph accessories provided they had what I was looking for. Any Triumph accessory I've purchased has been top notch stuff.

Rivco

I have installed the Rivco risers and have had the same experience. I like the risers, but getting and keeping them tight has not worked yet. Sounds like I am better off going with the Triumph product.

Triumph has risers for the R3T??

me and stb has the revco risers and we have had no prblems with them yet
and as far as i know {which aint much} triumph does not have risers

I know the Rivco risers are different animals between the Standard/Classic and Touring, but I love the ones on my Standard. The bars are almost where I want them and rock solid. But they don't have the rubber stuff like the Touring.
Only drawback is that raising the tank is more of a pain now.
