Lifting up this monster with my floorjack

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I just got my Progressive shocks and I know I've got to lift up and suspend the rear in order to change the shocks.

I see under the bike, those 2 'nubs' for what looks like a centerstand or something....but also, under the engine...it looks like the cast-metal has 'pads' or 'cleats' (for lack of a better discription), where it looks like the bike could actually be lifted from the bottom of the engine? Could this possibly be? Being that the bottom of the engine is as flat as a table...can I just put the rubber pads of my floor-lift on the engine case and lift the rear wheel off the ground THAT way?

It is ok to lift on the sump of engine , though you will need to be towards the back of engine / cat box to find the balance point , I normally place a couple of pieces of wood to spread load under the engine .

jack lilley stand

Jack lilley makes a nifty little stand, very simple and easy.

Has two bolts, just slide one bolt end on and turn the other end until it passes through the hole in the frame. Then press the handle.

Raises the bike just enough for one wheel to spin free.

if you work by yourself----re-enforce ceiling joist and install 2 hooks/eyebolts/etc. ---3-4 ft. apart. buy ratchet strap -downs (2) --like truckers use-w/ hooks. 1 per side. hold weight w/ them --then you can use almost any kind of jack to " micro-move " your stuff around. weight is held above. took an entire r3 apart--by myself this way. and 1 motorcycle jack (sam's) and 1 reg. jack. ---john ie. 2 holes on bottom of frame are far da mfg.---ie.-"jig holes" ole skoole tack welded the bottom rail to the "jig". finished frame--cut loose--then grinded the weld spot on the frame down flush. --as well as da jig. r3 ain't got a bottom rail per se--they use da engine/trans. for that.
