Hi Jim and welcome to the forum from the British Isles. Another solution to the saddle height would be to adopt and wear that 70's fashion icon - the platform boots??

The boots I wear while not being as tall as ones pictured have a thick sole. Any thicker and I would not want to walk very far in them. Thank you for your response!

Just wear the front tire off and switch to a 140 front. And stay with the 240/50 instead of the 240/55 she will sit lower. I'm 5'10" 150ish 31 inseam depending on who makes them. And she sits fine. Or as mitzy said you can by a Corbin rock it will lower you by decreasing the thickness of you wallet :)
Wearing the tires out seems to be easy with all the torque this bike has. Would you happen to know the actual difference in ride height the tire change will make? Of the several replies I have received this seems to be the most practical for me. appreciate you including height and inseam info. I believe my rear tire is 10% tall as my odometer reads low compared to riding partners who fuel at same time as I do. It is currently running 240/55. Thank you for your reply.....time to go riding!

Welcome Jim from Christchurch New Zealand.
I'm fortunate that i fit ok and dont need the lower seating but i think a combination of shock length and seat choice will help.
While the Corbin Gunslinger i have feels firm, they do say it takes around 500mls to 'mould' to the shape of your butt thereafter its way more 'fitting'and comfortable.
Mustang dont make a seat for the Roadster...yet. That's a bummer cos they are a great seat.
If you can get a factory seat thru ebay of similar, maybe an upholsterer could adapt it for you. It's been done b4 on this forum i'm pretty sure.
Meanwhile, enjoy the company within these pages...there are some good knowledgeable heads in here.

How much does changing tire size affect anti lock brakes?
