It’s growing on me!

The finish is really nice, even down to pillion pegs and how they stow. I inspected all over, even underside and can report that I cant find anything to dislike. Even the rear plate mount is better than I expected. I don't think my wife would be comfortable as a pillion - but now she rarely goes on the bike. The weight seems crazy - taking it off side stand and lowering to 45' is not a problem.

presently, i am also in process of buying 2020 rocket from local triumph dealer. will have more details once i receive it in late april and will be able to send some pictures or information then if needed.
as far as i was told, in first shipment to poland only 15 bikes had been ordered

My opinion is that the only reason that the new GT has the small pillion seat, small back rest and rack is because the Daivel doesn't. It's just another accessory that the Rocket has and the Daivel doesn't. You may find the need to shrink your wife down to 4'-5" and 90 lbs or find a new 'friend'. My guess if you find a new 'friend' you will no longer have the money to buy the new Rocket...or pay for rent...or eat....

The Diavel has a pretty decently sized pillion seat built in and a backrest an optional accessory...

Put the wife on the small seat, hit the throttle, and leave your problems behind you.

Ambiguity is a wonderful thing.

...for me the Gt with the small passenger seat and backrest is a great spot to sit a tailbag and leave the passenger and panniers off....i'm not into having a pillion b.tching away at me while i'm enjoying my ride and i dont carry alot of luggage at the best of times...some have asked 'Where does your lady sit?'...and i say..."at home!"
I know this may sound a bit one sided but my lady dosnt want to come with me on the bike as she gets scared..."You go too fast!"...."Who will look after the dogs if we get hurt?"...that sort of thing troubles her so.....??
...Just a p.s.
I am interested as to how the passenger seat attaches to the bike...i am thinking maybe a tailbag with the same attachment underneath and with a pad as a backrest for the rider may snap on there.hmmmm..

I saw that. It's not standard. Never seen one used, also no rack. That said it does look nice and roomy.

Rocket 3 GT = 22,600
Diavel 1260 = 20,295 + 280(backrest) + 1400 (luggage) = 21975... 600 cheaper

And I'm willing to bet you haven't seen a new R3 pillion and backrest being used except in promo pics...
Also, where is the rack on the GT?
