Intake plenum / Intake runners

FYI, while removing intake runners to get at airbox/filter, I noticed gasket for runners was no where to be found, 30K for a TFC, and gasket missing, empty groove where gasket should be. WTF!!!WTF!!!!!
 
Should've purchased the full gasket option for onyl 2K more! Kidding, but terrible QC on Triumph's part.
 
The heavier R and GT models have them, built in Thailand! The TFC was built in UK.... errr and is lighter and quicker.

(It's not hanging on to the bottom of the intake runner assembly is it?)
 
Hope you didn't drive on too many gravel roads. Let us know what the dealer/Triumph people say. You guys that own the new Rocket should pull the intake runner off and check for a gasket. If it happened to one machine, guaranteed it's happened to others....

If I owned one, after seeing this post, I'd be checking.
 
I checked TB didn't see any crud in there thankfully , guess I'll have to wait on gasket, no dealers in US have any.
 
If that gasket is keeping you from riding for any length of time, I'd grab a piece of "0" ring material similar to what's used to hold a screen in place (screen door) and shove it in the groove to act as a seal.

What did Triumph say to the missing piece???
