Welcome from Ohio. Congrats on the new ride. Oil?? I am using 0w40 full synthetic and have been happy with it, but then again I am a woodsman and have no "real" experience in regards to the technical issues of mixing oils. I will side with Hanso on the darkside because for me the grip is the only relevant issue. Once the motorcycle tire breaks loose the hp is no longer relevant unless you are testing to see how long you can keep it slipping. RIDE ON.

Oh almost forgot welcome Ryan from Brisbane Australia enjoy the new ride mate . Don't mind us we like to stir each other up a little ;)

I'm smiling......

You Aussie dudes have me smiling and laughing - great sense of humor!! I was at the "Springfield Mile" just this May 27th and watched the Memorial Day National Championships dirt track races on Springfield's famed mile oval. There was a guy by the name of Luke Gough from New South Wales, Australia that did pretty well at Springfield. I think he was racing a Harley, I know he had bright orange/red rims, so he was easy to see. I think the PA address said that he was ummmmm, a 3 time national dirt track champ in Aussie land.
AMA Pro Flat Track Riders - Luke Gough Rider Bio you can copy and paste and it tells a little about him.

Can't wait to leave out on the train tomorrow and am looking forward to picking up my red and white beast and riding it home - around 800 miles or so. And yes, despite being of social security age, I try to remain young at heart!! Love those Triumphs!

Many thanks guys to those of you who have welcomed me. By the way, the job I used to do here in the states - I think they call them "riggers" in Australia.

PS Rode my Bonneville T100 to the races.

Greetings from the sepulchre

You're only as old as you permit yourself to be. Fight entropy with fun stuff...like your new brute! Hell, you aint no older than I am and I aint ready for a dirt blanket just yet! It's all a matter of perspective. I work out like a total fanatic because: (1) I don't want to be mugged by some little old lady, and (2) I like to DO edgy things...climb, hike, scuba, wrestle, spar, swim, bicycle....and ride my motorcycles. The better my old corpus accommodates the work load, the more fun I may have. End of story.

Welcome from the old vampire. Ride it like you stole it...there is no other way to ride:D
