I know what I'm doing this weekend. Tires and brakes were delivered today. The front brakes have some life left to them but the rears are pretty low. I need to pick up an oil filter too.

I have always been a two finger guy. The last two fingers on my hands rarely touch the levers so I bought a pair of short Pazzo levers. After I get them installed and tested I will post more pictures and a review.

You've got your weekend planned for sure. I think I'll spend mine getting ready to paint the house I look forward to seeing the levers installed.

Pazzo for me

I had mine put on and haven't look back. Ergonomically sound and comfortable though I got the longer ones. Seems like I use up the back brakes about 2-3 times as quick as the front ones. Probably all the times I use them turning corners and not wanting the front tire to lock up on gravel or sand.

This weekend I'm off to Las Vegas for 5 days to be with my new grand daughter and possibly a little gambling. For sure, I want to ride the monorail. That's been put in since my last trip.

I have to laugh. The website automatically shortens the title of my post to "I know what I'm doing", leaving off the "this weekend" part. Suddenly this website is giving me credit for knowing what I'm doing after 48 years of being totally clueless.....lol.

You have your work cut out for you this weekend!
I have the long Pazzos on my Speed Triple, and will be putting a set of them on my Rocket soon. You're gonna love 'em.

Thanks for the web site on the brake pads Doglanta. Just ordered mine. I ordered my tires from Parts 411 a couple of days ago.

ok, jealous of the levers...

would love to see a set in person..... next time I head over that way I'm hunting you down.

my new Avons are supposed to be here in March...we will see

I know what else I'll be doing this weekend.....

Hey Reg,
Sure, let's get together. Maybe we should wait until the weather gets a little better? Current wind chill is 18 degrees and it is sleeting outside. I was going to see if I could throw the levers on today after work but it is going to be too cold to work out in the garage. I guess it will have to wait until the weekend.

I know what else I'll be doing this weekend.
My own personal Holy Grail....Guinness.

New tire installed.

Ah, nothing like like a new rear tire! This weekend I took care of needed maintenance as planned. I removed the wheel and took it to a local motorcycle accessory retailer who also mount and balances tires. There were able to get the old tire off and mount the new tire...well, sort of. Their compressor was not strong enough to pop the bead on this stiff new tire. I ended up taking the wheel with the tire on but not set to an automotive tire store who was able to get the tire to seat. They could not balance it though so I had to go back to the motorcycle store for them to finish the job. Except for the seating of the bead on the tire the whole thing went smoothly with no surprises either removing or reinstalling the wheel. I replaced the rear brakes at the same time without any problems. Then I installed my Pazzo clutch and brake levers (see next reply). Lastly I changed the oil and filter.
