I've got an 07 Classic. I ran into a guy the other day with an 06 who said he had dyno'd his before he did the cat bypass/TOR exhaust upgrade and was pulling about 105hp. Mine is quick, don't get me wrong, but it seems like it could be quicker. I know it's tuned down a bit and I'm planning on getting a tuneboy when the budget allows, but I was wondering if anyone here knows about what my model has, ballpark. Thanks.

Dynos numbers will vary alot from bike to bike and day to day so comparing with someone's dyno run isn't the best great ruler.

The stock power numbers list by Triumph are measured at the crank. I'd say most stock Rockets with empty catbox get rear wheel horse in the 120 to 125 range. Full cat will probably suck 10 horse, so I'd say a stock 07 Classic is around 115 HP at the rear +-.

Re: Dyno of stock 2006 R3 Classic

RiderRocketman hit it almost exactly right on the nose. I have a 2006 R3 Classic. I did a dyno run on my bike in December before I installed Sam's Predators (I wanted to get a baseline, pre-Predators). The results where 117 rwhp and 136 torque. This was on a completely stock (exhaust and air filter) Classic.

What are you getting with the predators? I _really_ like the looks of those pipes.

Check my dyno post over in TECHNICAL 8)

Stock 2004-05 U.S R3's generally pulled 130/140 RWHP/TQ, +/- 3/5 RWHP/TQ depending on machine and SAE vs STD.

2006+ US, CA, Euro bikes tend to pull 120-125 RWHP. This was due to a "full" cat box, and some Euro standards.

They've been gradually detuning them b/c the average cruiser rider is skeered of it, and it already so ****ed fast.

They never counted on some of us
