They are talking about Universities and their mascots/ nicknames. Oklahoma also known as Choke-la-homa Sooners. A sooner was coined during a land grab, give-away. It was supposed to be a race to claim some land. Some people cheated. I think this is correct, if not someone will correct me. The Aggies are Texas A&M University the A&M stands for Agricultural & Mechanical. Not sure about Aggie. When referring to agricultural we shorten by saying Ag. Maybe this is where it came from.
It can get very heated when talking about College Football here in the states. I will give you an example.
The Sooners and the Aggies don't know how to play football. They pretty much suck.
